Yogi Berra was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1972 as a Player by the BBWAA receiving 85.6 percent of the vote that year. Yogi was a Catcher and Outfielder who played in the majors for 19 years playing in 2,120 games. He batted 7,555 times from the left side with 2,150 hits, 358 home runs, 1,430 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .285. He was born on May 12, 1925 in St. Louis, MO. Yogi went to his Field of Dreams on September 22, 2015.
