Tommy McCarthy was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1946 as a Player by the Old Timers. Tommy was a Outfielder who played in the majors for 13 years playing in 1,273 games. Tommy pitched right-handed in 13 games totalling 70 innings with 21 strikeouts and recorded a career ERA of 4.99. He batted 5,120 times from the right side with 1,493 hits, 44 home runs, 732 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .292. He was born on July 24, 1863 in Boston, MA. Tommy went to his Field of Dreams on August 5, 1922.
