Steve Carlton was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1994 as a Player by the BBWAA receiving 95.6 percent of the vote that year. Steve was a Pitcher who played in the majors for 24 years playing in 745 games. Steve pitched left-handed in 741 games totalling 5,217 innings with 4,136 strikeouts and recorded a career ERA of 3.22. He batted 1,719 times from the left side with 346 hits, 13 home runs, 140 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .201. He was born on December 22, 1944 in Miami, FL. His nickname is "Lefty."
