Sparky Anderson was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 2000 as a Manager by the Veteran's Committee. Sparky was a Second Baseman who played in the majors for 1 years playing in 152 games for the Philadelphia Phillies. He batted 477 times from the right side with 104 hits, 0 home runs, 34 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .218. He was born on February 22, 1934 in Bridgewater, SD. His nickname was "Captain Hook." Sparky went to his Field of Dreams on November 4, 2010.
