Samuel Earl Crawford

Sam Crawford was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1957 as a Player by the Veteran's Committee. Sam was a Rightfielder and First Baseman who played in the majors for 19 years playing in 2,517 games. He batted 9,570 times from the left side with 2,961 hits, 97 home runs, 1,525 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .309. He was born on April 18, 1880 in Wahoo, NE. His nickname was "Wahoo Sam." Sam went to his Field of Dreams on June 15, 1968.
