Rube Marquard was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1971 as a Player by the Veteran's Committee. Rube was a Pitcher who played in the majors for 18 years playing in 536 games. Rube pitched left-handed in 536 games totalling 3,306 innings with 1,593 strikeouts and recorded a career ERA of 3.08. He batted 1,107 times as a switch hitter with 198 hits, 1 home runs, 66 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .179. He was born on October 9, 1886 in Cleveland, OH. Rube went to his Field of Dreams on June 1, 1980.
