Robin Roberts was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1976 as a Player by the BBWAA receiving 86.9 percent of the vote that year. Robin was a Pitcher who played in the majors for 19 years playing in 688 games. Robin pitched right-handed in 676 games totalling 4,688 innings with 2,357 strikeouts and recorded a career ERA of 3.41. He batted 1,525 times as a switch hitter with 255 hits, 5 home runs, 103 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .167. He was born on September 30, 1926 in Springfield, IL. Robin went to his Field of Dreams on May 6, 2010.
