Rich Gossage was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 2008 as a Player by the BBWAA receiving 85.8 percent of the vote that year. Rich was a Pitcher who played in the majors for 22 years playing in 1,003 games. Rich pitched right-handed in 1,002 games totalling 1,809 innings with 1,502 strikeouts and recorded a career ERA of 3.01. He was born on July 5, 1951 in Colorado Springs, CO. His nickname is "Goose."
