Red Faber was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1964 as a Player by the Veteran's Committee. Red was a Pitcher who played in the majors for 20 years playing in 670 games for the Chicago White Sox. Red pitched right-handed in 669 games totalling 4,086 innings with 1,471 strikeouts and recorded a career ERA of 3.15. He batted 1,269 times as a switch hitter with 170 hits, 3 home runs, 70 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .134. He was born on September 6, 1888 in Cascade, IA. Red went to his Field of Dreams on September 25, 1976.
