Nolan Ryan was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1999 as a Player by the BBWAA receiving 98.8 percent of the vote that year. Nolan was a Pitcher who played in the majors for 27 years playing in 807 games. Nolan pitched right-handed in 807 games totalling 5,386 innings with 5,714 strikeouts and recorded a career ERA of 3.19. He batted 852 times from the right side with 94 hits, 2 home runs, 36 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .110. He was born on January 31, 1947 in Refugio, TX. His nickname is "Ryan Express."
