Miller James Huggins

Miller Huggins was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1964 as a Manager by the Veteran's Committee. Miller was a Second Baseman who played in the majors for 13 years playing in 1,586 games. He batted 5,558 times as a switch hitter with 1,474 hits, 9 home runs, 318 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .265. He was born on March 27, 1878 in Cincinnati, OH. His nickname was "Hug or Mighty Mite." Miller went to his Field of Dreams on September 25, 1929.
