Michael Jack Schmidt

Mike Schmidt was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1995 as a Player by the BBWAA receiving 96.5 percent of the vote that year. Mike was a Third Baseman and First Baseman who played in the majors for 18 years playing in 2,404 games for the Philadelphia Phillies. He batted 8,352 times from the right side with 2,234 hits, 548 home runs, 1,595 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .267. He was born on September 27, 1949 in Dayton, OH. His nickname is "Schmitty."
