Mariano Rivera was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 2019 as a Player by the BBWAA receiving 100.0 percent of the vote that year. Mariano was a Pitcher who played in the majors for 19 years playing in 1,115 games for the New York Yankees. Mariano pitched right-handed in 1,115 games totalling 1,283 innings with 1,173 strikeouts and recorded a career ERA of 2.21. He was born on November 29, 1969 in Panama, Panama. His nickname is "Mo, Super Mariano or The Sandman."
