Luis Ernesto (Montiel) Aparicio

Luis Aparicio was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1984 as a Player by the BBWAA receiving 84.6 percent of the vote that year. Luis was a Shortstop who played in the majors for 18 years playing in 2,599 games. He batted 10,230 times from the right side with 2,677 hits, 83 home runs, 791 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .262. He was born on April 29, 1934 in Maracaibo, Zulia. His nickname is "Little Louie."
