Louis Clark Brock

Lou Brock was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1985 as a Player by the BBWAA receiving 79.7 percent of the vote that year. Lou was a Leftfielder who played in the majors for 19 years playing in 2,616 games for the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs. He batted 10,332 times from the left side with 3,023 hits, 149 home runs, 900 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .293. He was born on June 18, 1939 in El Dorado, AR. His nickname is "The Franchise or The Rocket."

Sad to hear of the passing of Lou Brock last week. He will always be the one I think about when I think about the ultimate base stealer. Lou stole 938 bases in his nineteen year career. Rest in Peace Lou!
