
Lawrence Eugene Doby
Larry Doby was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1998 as a Player by the Veteran's Committee. Larry was a Centerfielder who played in the majors for 13 years playing in 1,533 games. He batted 5,348 times from the left side with 1,515 hits, 253 home runs, 970 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .283. He was born on December 13, 1923 in Camden, SC. Larry went to his Field of Dreams on June 18, 2003.
