John Robert Mize

Johnny Mize was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1981 as a Player by the Veteran's Committee. Johnny was a First Baseman who played in the majors for 15 years playing in 1,884 games. He batted 6,443 times from the left side with 2,011 hits, 359 home runs, 1,337 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .312. He was born on January 7, 1913 in Demorest, GA. His nickname was "The Big Cat or Big Jawn." Johnny went to his Field of Dreams on June 2, 1993.
