John Joseph Evers

Johnny Evers was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1946 as a Player by the Old Timers. Johnny was a Second Baseman who played in the majors for 18 years playing in 1,784 games. He batted 6,137 times from the left side with 1,659 hits, 12 home runs, 536 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .270. He was born on July 21, 1881 in Troy, NY. His nickname was "Crab or Trojan." Johnny went to his Field of Dreams on March 28, 1947.
