Joseph Paul DiMaggio
Joe DiMaggio was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1955 as a Player by the BBWAA receiving 88.8 percent of the vote that year. Joe was a Centerfielder who played in the majors for 13 years playing in 1,736 games for the New York Yankees. He batted 6,821 times from the right side with 2,214 hits, 361 home runs, 1,537 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .325. He was born on November 25, 1914 in Martinez, CA. His nickname was "Joltin' Joe or The Yankee Clipper." Joe went to his Field of Dreams on March 8, 1999.
