Jim Palmer was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1990 as a Player by the BBWAA receiving 92.6 percent of the vote that year. Jim was a Pitcher who played in the majors for 19 years playing in 576 games for the Baltimore Orioles. Jim pitched right-handed in 558 games totalling 3,948 innings with 2,212 strikeouts and recorded a career ERA of 2.86. He batted 489 times from the right side with 85 hits, 3 home runs, 41 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .174. He was born on October 15, 1945 in New York, NY. His nickname is "Cakes."
