John Dwight Chesbro

Jack Chesbro was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1946 as a Player by the Old Timers. Jack was a Pitcher who played in the majors for 11 years playing in 393 games. Jack pitched right-handed in 392 games totalling 2,896 innings with 1,265 strikeouts and recorded a career ERA of 2.68. He batted 1,103 times from the right side with 217 hits, 5 home runs, 82 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .197. He was born on June 5, 1874 in North Adams, MA. His nickname was "Happy Jack." Jack went to his Field of Dreams on November 6, 1931.
