Hughie Jennings was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1945 as a Player by the Old Timers. Hughie was a Shortstop and First Baseman who played in the majors for 18 years playing in 1,284 games. He batted 4,895 times from the right side with 1,526 hits, 18 home runs, 840 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .312. He was born on April 2, 1869 in Pittston, PA. His nickname was "Ee-Yah." Hughie went to his Field of Dreams on February 1, 1928.
