Harold Newhouser
Hal Newhouser was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1992 as a Player by the Veteran's Committee. Hal was a Pitcher who played in the majors for 17 years playing in 492 games for the Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Indians. Hal pitched left-handed in 488 games totalling 2,993 innings with 1,796 strikeouts and recorded a career ERA of 3.06. He batted 999 times from the left side with 201 hits, 2 home runs, 81 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .201. He was born on May 20, 1921 in Detroit, MI. His nickname was "Prince Hal." Hal went to his Field of Dreams on November 10, 1998.
