George Wright was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1937 as a Pioneer/Executive by the Centennial Committee. George was a Shortstop and Second Baseman who played in the majors for 12 years playing in 591 games. George pitched right-handed in 3 games totalling 5 innings with 1 strikeouts and recorded a career ERA of 5.40. He batted 2,873 times from the right side with 866 hits, 11 home runs, 326 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .301. He was born on January 28, 1847 in New York, NY. George went to his Field of Dreams on August 21, 1937.
