Fred Clarke was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1945 as a Player by the Old Timers. Fred was a Leftfielder who played in the majors for 21 years playing in 2,246 games. He batted 8,584 times from the left side with 2,678 hits, 67 home runs, 1,015 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .312. He was born on October 3, 1872 in Winterset, IA. His nickname was "Cap." Fred went to his Field of Dreams on August 14, 1960.
