Frank Francis Frisch

Frankie Frisch was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1947 as a Player by the BBWAA receiving 84.5 percent of the vote that year. Frankie was a Second Baseman and Third Baseman who played in the majors for 19 years playing in 2,311 games for the St. Louis Cardinals. He batted 9,112 times as a switch hitter with 2,880 hits, 105 home runs, 1,244 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .316. He was born on September 9, 1897 in Bronx, NY. His nickname was "The Fordham Flash." Frankie went to his Field of Dreams on March 12, 1973.
