Fergie Jenkins was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1991 as a Player by the BBWAA receiving 75.4 percent of the vote that year. Fergie was a Pitcher who played in the majors for 19 years playing in 665 games. Fergie pitched right-handed in 664 games totalling 4,500 innings with 3,192 strikeouts and recorded a career ERA of 3.34. He batted 896 times from the right side with 148 hits, 13 home runs, 85 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .165. He was born on December 13, 1942 in Chatham, Ontario. His nickname is "Fly."
