Ernesto Natali Lombardi
Ernie Lombardi was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1986 as a Player by the Veteran's Committee. Ernie was a Catcher who played in the majors for 17 years playing in 1,853 games. He batted 5,855 times from the right side with 1,792 hits, 190 home runs, 990 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .306. He was born on April 6, 1908 in Oakland, CA. His nickname was "Schnozz or Bocci." Ernie went to his Field of Dreams on September 26, 1977.
