Eddie Plank was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1946 as a Player by the Old Timers. Eddie was a Pitcher who played in the majors for 17 years playing in 630 games. Eddie pitched left-handed in 623 games totalling 4,495 innings with 2,246 strikeouts and recorded a career ERA of 2.35. He batted 1,607 times from the left side with 331 hits, 3 home runs, 122 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .206. He was born on August 31, 1875 in Gettysburg, PA. His nickname was "Gettysburg Eddie." Eddie went to his Field of Dreams on February 24, 1926.
