Edward Trowbridge Collins Sr.
Eddie Collins was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1939 as a Player by the BBWAA receiving 77.7 percent of the vote that year. Eddie was a Second Baseman who played in the majors for 25 years playing in 2,826 games. He batted 9,949 times from the left side with 3,315 hits, 47 home runs, 1,300 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .333. He was born on May 2, 1887 in Millerton, NY. His nickname was "Cocky." Eddie went to his Field of Dreams on March 25, 1951.
