Edward James Delahanty

Ed Delahanty was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1945 as a Player by the Old Timers. Ed was a Leftfielder, First Baseman and Second Baseman who played in the majors for 16 years playing in 1,837 games. He batted 7,511 times from the right side with 2,597 hits, 101 home runs, 1,466 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .346. He was born on October 30, 1867 in Cleveland, OH. His nickname was "Big Ed." Ed went to his Field of Dreams on July 2, 1903.
