Earle Bryan Combs

Earle Combs was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1970 as a Player by the Veteran's Committee. Earle was a Centerfielder who played in the majors for 12 years playing in 1,455 games for the New York Yankees. He batted 5,746 times from the left side with 1,866 hits, 58 home runs, 633 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .325. He was born on May 14, 1899 in Pebworth, KY. His nickname was "The Kentucky Colonel." Earle went to his Field of Dreams on July 21, 1976.
