Howard Earl Averill

Earl Averill was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1975 as a Player by the Veteran's Committee. Earl was a Centerfielder who played in the majors for 13 years playing in 1,669 games. He batted 6,353 times from the left side with 2,019 hits, 238 home runs, 1,164 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .318. He was born on May 21, 1902 in Snohomish, WA. His nickname was "Rock or The Earl of Snohomish." Earl went to his Field of Dreams on August 16, 1983.
