Donald Scott Drysdale

Don Drysdale was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1984 as a Player by the BBWAA receiving 78.4 percent of the vote that year. Don was a Pitcher who played in the majors for 14 years playing in 547 games for the Brooklyn Dodgers and Los Angeles Dodgers. Don pitched right-handed in 518 games totalling 3,432 innings with 2,486 strikeouts and recorded a career ERA of 2.95. He batted 1,169 times from the right side with 218 hits, 29 home runs, 113 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .186. He was born on July 23, 1936 in Van Nuys, CA. His nickname was "Big D or Airedale." Don went to his Field of Dreams on July 3, 1993.
