Deacon White was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 2013 as a Player by the Veteran's Committee. Deacon was a Third Baseman, Catcher and Rightfielder who played in the majors for 20 years playing in 1,560 games. Deacon pitched right-handed in 2 games totalling 10 innings with 3 strikeouts and recorded a career ERA of 7.20. He batted 6,624 times from the left side with 2,067 hits, 24 home runs, 988 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .312. He was born on December 2, 1847 in Caton, NY. Deacon went to his Field of Dreams on July 7, 1939.
