Chipper Jones was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 2018 as a Player by the BBWAA receiving 97.2 percent of the vote that year. Chipper was a Third Baseman and Leftfielder who played in the majors for 19 years playing in 2,499 games for the Atlanta Braves. He batted 8,984 times as a switch hitter with 2,726 hits, 468 home runs, 1,623 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .303. He was born on April 24, 1972 in DeLand, FL.
