Carl Owen Hubbell

Carl Hubbell was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1947 as a Player by the BBWAA receiving 87.0 percent of the vote that year. Carl was a Pitcher who played in the majors for 16 years playing in 535 games for the New York Giants. Carl pitched left-handed in 535 games totalling 3,590 innings with 1,677 strikeouts and recorded a career ERA of 2.98. He batted 1,288 times from the right side with 246 hits, 4 home runs, 101 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .191. He was born on June 22, 1903 in Carthage, MO. His nickname was "King Carl or Meal Ticket." Carl went to his Field of Dreams on November 21, 1988.
