Candy Cummings was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1939 as a Pioneer/Executive by the Old Timers. Candy was a Pitcher and Outfielder who played in the majors for 6 years playing in 247 games. Candy pitched right-handed in 242 games totalling 2,149 innings with 259 strikeouts and recorded a career ERA of 2.42. He batted 1,068 times from the right side with 227 hits, 0 home runs, 107 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .213. He was born on October 18, 1848 in Ware, MA. Candy went to his Field of Dreams on May 16, 1924.
