William Ewing

Buck Ewing was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1939 as a Player by the Old Timers. Buck was a Catcher, First Baseman and Rightfielder who played in the majors for 18 years playing in 1,315 games. Buck pitched right-handed in 9 games totalling 47 innings with 23 strikeouts and recorded a career ERA of 3.45. He batted 5,363 times from the right side with 1,625 hits, 71 home runs, 883 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .303. He was born on October 17, 1859 in Hoagland, OH. Buck went to his Field of Dreams on October 20, 1906.
