Brooks Robinson was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1983 as a Player by the BBWAA receiving 92.0 percent of the vote that year. Brooks was a Third Baseman who played in the majors for 23 years playing in 2,896 games for the Baltimore Orioles. He batted 10,654 times from the right side with 2,848 hits, 268 home runs, 1,357 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .267. He was born on May 18, 1937 in Little Rock, AR. His nickname is "Human Vacuum Cleaner or Mr. Impossible."
