Bobby Doerr was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1986 as a Player by the Veteran's Committee. Bobby was a Second Baseman who played in the majors for 14 years playing in 1,865 games for the Boston Red Sox. He batted 7,093 times from the right side with 2,042 hits, 223 home runs, 1,247 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .288. He was born on April 7, 1918 in Los Angeles, CA.
