William Malcolm Dickey

Bill Dickey was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1954 as a Player by the BBWAA receiving 80.2 percent of the vote that year. Bill was a Catcher who played in the majors for 17 years playing in 1,789 games for the New York Yankees. He batted 6,300 times from the left side with 1,969 hits, 202 home runs, 1,209 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .313. He was born on June 6, 1907 in Bastrop, LA. His nickname was "The Man Nobody Knows." Bill went to his Field of Dreams on November 12, 1993.
