Joseph Floyd Vaughan
Arky Vaughan was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1985 as a Player by the Veteran's Committee. Arky was a Shortstop and Third Baseman who played in the majors for 14 years playing in 1,817 games for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Brooklyn Dodgers. He batted 6,622 times from the left side with 2,103 hits, 96 home runs, 926 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .318. He was born on March 9, 1912 in Clifty, AR. Arky went to his Field of Dreams on August 30, 1952.
