Albert William Kaline
Al Kaline was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1980 as a Player by the BBWAA receiving 88.3 percent of the vote that year. Al was a Rightfielder and First Baseman who played in the majors for 22 years playing in 2,834 games for the Detroit Tigers. He batted 10,116 times from the right side with 3,007 hits, 399 home runs, 1,582 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .297. He was born on December 19, 1934 in Baltimore, MD. His nickname is "Mr. Tiger."
