Roy Campanella
Roy Campanella was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1969 as a Player by the BBWAA receiving 79.4 percent of the vote that year. Roy was a Catcher who played in the majors for 10 years playing in 1,215 games for the Brooklyn Dodgers. He batted 4,205 times from the right side with 1,161 hits, 242 home runs, 856 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .276. He was born on November 19, 1921 in Philadelphia, PA. His nickname was "Campy." Roy went to his Field of Dreams on June 26, 1993.
