Grover Cleveland Alexander

Pete Alexander was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1938 as a Player by the BBWAA receiving 80.9 percent of the vote that year. Pete was a Pitcher who played in the majors for 20 years playing in 703 games. Pete pitched right-handed in 696 games totalling 5,190 innings with 2,198 strikeouts and recorded a career ERA of 2.56. He batted 1,810 times from the right side with 378 hits, 11 home runs, 163 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .209. He was born on February 26, 1887 in Elba, NE. His nickname was "Old Pete." Pete went to his Field of Dreams on November 4, 1950.
