Charles Augustus Nichols
Kid Nichols was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1949 as a Player by the Old Timers. Kid was a Pitcher who played in the majors for 15 years playing in 650 games. Kid pitched right-handed in 621 games totalling 5,067 innings with 1,881 strikeouts and recorded a career ERA of 2.96. He batted 2,090 times as a switch hitter with 472 hits, 16 home runs, 278 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .226. He was born on September 14, 1869 in Madison, WI. Kid went to his Field of Dreams on April 11, 1953.
