Joe Cronin was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1956 as a Player by the BBWAA receiving 78.8 percent of the vote that year. Joe was a Shortstop who played in the majors for 20 years playing in 2,124 games for the Washington Senators and Boston Red Sox. He batted 7,579 times from the right side with 2,285 hits, 170 home runs, 1,424 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .301. He was born on October 12, 1906 in San Francisco, CA. Joe went to his Field of Dreams on September 7, 1984.
