Jackie Robinson was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1962 as a Player by the BBWAA receiving 77.5 percent of the vote that year. Jackie was a Second Baseman, Third Baseman and First Baseman who played in the majors for 10 years playing in 1,382 games for the Brooklyn Dodgers. He batted 4,877 times from the right side with 1,518 hits, 137 home runs, 734 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .311. He was born on January 31, 1919 in Cairo, GA. Jackie went to his Field of Dreams on October 24, 1972.
