Charles Arthur Vance

Dazzy Vance was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1955 as a Player by the BBWAA receiving 81.7 percent of the vote that year. Dazzy was a Pitcher who played in the majors for 16 years playing in 442 games. Dazzy pitched right-handed in 442 games totalling 2,966 innings with 2,045 strikeouts and recorded a career ERA of 3.24. He batted 971 times from the right side with 146 hits, 7 home runs, 75 RBIs, and recorded a career batting average of .150. He was born on March 4, 1891 in Orient, IA. Dazzy went to his Field of Dreams on February 16, 1961.
